Our Promise to Our Board Members

• There’s no financial obligation to join or maintain your board position.
  
• Our board is volunteer-based and you give to the organization through your time and hard-work.
  
• Our meetings are never longer than one hour.
  
• Your time is valuable and we don’t want to waste it. Most of our meetings are less than 30 minutes.
  
• Agendas are posted ahead of all meetings. The progression of agenda items start with the most important or time sensitive items and proceed through items of lesser importance or priority. Should discussions on the agenda items exceed 45 minutes, items are tabled to be discussed at a future meeting.
• Scheduling meeting times are a collaborative effort.
  
• We schedule the next meeting before adjourning the current meeting. This ensures everyone has buy-in on the date/time.
  
• You don’t have to know opera!
  
• It takes a village and we value the expertise and diverse viewpoints of people from all backgrounds. You don’t have to know opera to contribute to the leadership of MROC.
